My name is Sadie and I am Achilles’ Mom. I got Achilles from a breeder in Texas when he was just about 8 weeks old. I instantly noticed that Achilles was different than any other dog I’ve had or known. He was so much like a human. He was full of personality. And even though dogs can’t talk, you could always tell what he was thinking. He loved deeply and wore his heart on his sleeve. He also had little man syndrome and always had to show his alpha side when big dogs came around. He didn’t have anything against other dogs but people were really his thing. He loved being around people and getting attention from them. He was the most handsome pup and he knew it. He was always so confident. His favorite things were squeaky toys, tennis balls, swimming, watching movies with dogs in them, sun bathing, and was always up for anything (adventures or just cuddling). Achilles has been through all the big life things with Mom: marriage, divorce, deaths, births, another marriage (to Dad), moving, traveling, sicknesses, surgery, everything. Achilles is a registered Emotional Support Animal. And he took that title seriously and embodied it. He is caring and protective. If I was crying, he licked my tears. If I was angry, he barked in anger too. If I was happy, he barked his muffled happy bark and wagged his little tail. Achilles was a best friend to the whole family. He and his Dad are the only men in a house that ended up over taken but estrogen throughout the years (Mom, two dog sisters, and two human sisters). Dad gives the best head and booty scratches and Achilles was always up for some cuddle time with Dad and getting some scratches. He also loved playing fetch with Dad because Dad can throw super far. He loved cuddling with his human sisters in the morning just after everyone was waking up and still calm. He would plop into their laps (even his sister who is less than a year old). He also enjoyed running around the yard to play with bigger sister. They would race and sometimes, he’d let his sister win. Our family was so blessed to be able to love and have love from Achilles. He is one of our gifts from God. And we look forward to one day entering heaven and seeing him in all his glory running up to greet us.
