Emmie Klaire was known as an old soul, intuitive, a special fur baby who captivated everyone’s heart. She had lots of nicknames and answered to them all. Her moms favorites were Otter, Otter Potater, Klaire-bear, & Emminemy. She loved car rides, snuggles, and rolling around in the grass on her back. Peanut butter, pumpkin, turkey & cheese were her favorite snacks. Emmie was loving, affectionate, playful, and mischievous in the best ways possible. She knew just how to use her big brown eyes and sweet kisses to get out of any trouble she thought she might be in, and it worked…always. Her favorite fur-buddies were her bubs, Patch, and Beni. Though, she was spoiled rotten by her Granny. She was great at napping with her mom and often put her human to sleep with the sound of her oh-so-adorable soft snorting and the cutest snore that anyone ever heard. But that’s not all about Emmie. That tiny mini doxie was as strong and persevering as she was loving and a source of joy. You see, Emmie Klaire Klaire had IVDD, intervertebral disc disease, which many years ago left her paralyzed on her hind legs and unable to use her bowel and bladder functions independently. That didn’t stop Emmie. She pushed through times of crate rest, medication which she was not a fan of, laser therapy, acupuncture, and even underwater treadmill therapy. And she never lost her sweet spirit. Eventually, she regained use of her bowel and bladder functions as well as her hind legs, though with some gait deficit, a limp on her right hind leg. You’d never know it though, when she was running. She was inspiring to many. She was also a master consoler and mood lifter. Her life and abundant love was a precious gift from God, and a gift that is both irreplaceable and unforgettable. She will be missed dearly until the day we meet again.
